Hi there, I live in the beautiful Scottish Borders with my partner David and our kitty named Kizzy. I have one grown up daughter, how the heck did that happen I often ask myself. Time goes too quickly. I have had the creative urge all my life, inherited from my Mum and Gran. At last I have found my true crafting love. Needle felting. For those of you who don't know needle felting is, it is the use of sharp barbed needles stabbing the wool to agitate and fix it in shape. Sounds quite vicious I know but have only stabbed myself once (ouch, yes it was painful). It never ceases to amaze me what can be created from this simple product. I create 3d structures such as heads, fairies, unicorns, sheep. Everything and anything is a challenge. If there is something you had in mind just ask. I also "paint with wool" creating portraits using the wool to layer and shade, capturing the image the same way as an artist. I specialise in Pet Portraits. I love to see an animals face come alive, the eyes are the key to that, getting that little cheeky twinkle. There are so many different types of wool out there, its amazing. I only use British ethically sourced wool.
