The Professional Crafters Guild was officially founded in 2011, but its story began long before that – in a spark of connection that lit up the handmade world.
In 2008, founder Anna launched Creative Connections, a social network built specifically for crafters. Within hours, members from around the world had joined – and by the end, over 2500 creatives had connected through that space.
From there, things grew:
2009 saw the launch of the Creative Crafting Magazine, celebrating makers and their stories.
In 2010, the first CRAFTfest took place – a virtual craft fair with over 200 stalls, playlists and real-time community energy. The event ran for several years, with the network transforming each time to host it.
And in 2011, the Guild was born – as a lasting home for all of that handmade magic.
Today, the Guild champions independent crafters with a spirit of humour, kindness, and glitter-fuelled support. With weekly features, sparkle points, and a thriving community, the Guild is still growing – powered by the same thread of connection it began with.

After fifteen years of holding space for makers, we’re doing something new. Membership is now free — no fees, no forms, just a warm seat at the table and a community that’s glad you showed up.
We gather on Facebook in two spaces, each with its own energy:
The Workspace — Our main creative circle. Share your makes, join the Weekly Colour Summoning, ask questions, find your people. Warm, supportive, and gently chaotic.
The Back Room — Where the AI experiments live, the dragons roam, and things get wonderfully weird. Creative play with no rules and no apologies.
You’re welcome in one or both. The only thing we ask is that you’re here to make, to share, or to cheer someone on.
The dragons are watching the door. They’ll know. Keith is excited. We hope you are too.
A note on transition: We’re still honouring our current members as they live out their subscriptions through 2026. You’ll find them in the Showcase tab. This year is about transformation—not goodbye, but becoming more of what we’ve always been.
