Wool, weather, and wisdom — handcrafted heirlooms from Scotland’s soft hills to your hands.
In the rolling hills of southern Scotland, surrounded by sheep farms and wild-coloured heathers, Simone learned the traditional skills passed down through generations: spinning, weaving, knitting, sewing, embroidery.
Craft wasn’t a hobby.
It wasn’t a trend.
It was life.
It was how you made something warm from what the land gave you.
Years later, during a time of economic uncertainty, Simone drew on that inheritance and transformed it into something enduring — Roses Workshop.
What began with a handful of knitted hats for friends has grown into a thoughtful collection of handmade fashion, homeware, and gift pieces. Each item carries the quiet strength of those early lessons in wool and weather — practical, beautiful, and made to last.
Simone works extensively with British wool, including world-renowned hand-woven Harris Tweed, shaping it into pieces that balance heritage with modern living. She also transforms raw fleece into felt, adding another layer to her material mastery and deepening her connection to the fibres she works with.
Roses Workshop isn’t just an online presence. Simone regularly attends fairs, festivals, and exhibitions across the UK, standing shoulder to shoulder with fellow artisans and keeping traditional skills alive in contemporary hands.
Nothing here is mass-produced.
Everything is made personally.
Deliberately.
By someone who understands the value of time, skill, and materials — and honours them in every stitch.
