Welcome to the Fireside Nook,
a crackling corner of the Mythic Midwinter Market where stories are shared, tea is poured, and the stallholders stop being mysterious magical beings and start being
well, slightly less mysterious magical beings with glitter in their hair and scissors in their coat pockets.

Here in the Nook, you’ll find a little more about the people behind the stalls—how they started, what they make, and which of them probably has a dragon in the shed. (Hint: at least one.)

We’ve been poking around websites and workshops, gathering a basket of blurbs and backstories for each of our market makers. So if you’ve ever wandered past a beautiful stall and thought, “Ooo, I’d love to know more about who made this,”—
this is the place.

We’ve arranged them into a cozy set of accordion-style peekaboo panels (we call them scrolls, but the tech goblins insisted on the proper term), so you can explore at your own pace.

So kick off your boots, grab a biscuit from the tin by the fire, and come meet the extraordinary humans (and possible familiars) behind the stalls.

Because this market?
It’s not just about what they make.
It’s about who they are.
And frankly, we think you’re going to love them.

Nestled in the heart of Mid Wales,
Fran brings a bloom to the Guild that never fades.

At The Felt Petal Shop, she transforms 100% wool felt and luxurious blends into exquisite floral arrangements, garlands, and whimsical home décor.

But this isn’t just craft—
it’s patience.
It’s presence.
It’s one petal at a time, shaped with care and quiet intention.

Every bouquet she makes feels like a moment captured—
a celebration that won’t wilt,
a gift that keeps its colour,
a piece of soft joy for your mantel, your windowsill, your wall.

Whether you’re brightening your home, sending a heartfelt gift,
or just looking for something beautiful that will stand the test of time,
Fran’s florals offer a kind of handmade magic that’s hard to explain but easy to love.

She’s one of the Guild’s originals—always present, always cheering,
always crafting something quietly brilliant in the background.

And here in the Fireside Nook,
her blooms have pride of place.
Because every myth needs its florist.
And every guild needs its Fran.

đŸŒŒ Gill from Daisy Chain Gifts

Step into the scent-drenched world of Daisy Chain Gifts, and you’ll find Gillian at the heart of it—hands deep in soap suds and stardust, creating bath-time delights that feel like a hug in solid form.

Her journey began back in the UK, crafting simple ingredients into little luxuries—soaps, bath bombs, and sweet-smelling treats designed to bring joy and just a touch of everyday magic. When she married her lovely Steve and moved across the ocean, Daisy Chain Gifts packed its bags too, crossing the Atlantic with all the softness and sparkle intact.

The name Daisy Chain says it all: something beautiful, made by hand, passed from one soul to another. A celebration of simple things, lovingly linked. That spirit weaves through everything Gill makes—each soap infused with playfulness, care, and the quiet hope that it brings a pause, a smile, or a little moment of calm in a whirlwind day.

To Gill, handmade gifts are more than things. They’re stories, shared kindness, tiny treasures wrapped in fragrance and love.

And now, nestled in the Fireside Nook with the rest of our winter makers, Gill’s brought her gentle alchemy here too—where warmth, creativity, and community gather like steam from a mug on a frosty day.

Some stories start with beads and curiosity.
Sharon’s began with Messy Essies—a name that once captured her playful experiments in wire wrapping, beading, and stamped metal. But like all good creators, she didn’t stay still.

In 2023, something changed. The flame got brighter.
A silversmithing course sparked a transformation, and what rose from the ashes wasn’t just a business upgrade—it was a rebirth.

Now, as Arc & Flame, Sharon creates striking pieces using recycled sterling silver—minimalist geometric forms, textured finishes, and raw, molten details that feel both ancient and modern. Each one carries the mark of its maker and the story of its fire.

These aren’t just accessories.
They’re artefacts of evolution.
Jewellery forged with purpose, passion, and the quiet power of someone who’s found her craft—and isn’t afraid to let it burn bright.

Pull up a seat in the Nook and meet the maker behind the molten silver.
Her hands remember every spark.
And her work speaks louder than words.

Lynne has been creating things her whole life.
Long before she started making jewellery, she was already a maker—cutting, crafting, imagining.
As a child, she’d spend hours gazing into her Grandma’s jewellery box, fascinated by the glint and history tucked into each tiny clasp and stone.

That love of beautiful things never left her.

Fourteen years ago, after plenty of practice and a growing spark of determination, Silver Sensations was born—not just from creativity, but from frustration, too.

Lynne couldn’t always find the right piece.
The gemstones weren’t quite right.
The colour wasn’t her.
The price didn’t match the worth.

So she decided to make her own.

Today, Silver Sensations is built on that same spirit:
beautiful, wearable jewellery made by hand, with precision, care, and a genuine love for the craft.

Lynne focuses on high-quality design, attention to detail, and keeping her creations affordable—whether you’re treating yourself or finding something special for someone you love.

Because for her, handmade jewellery isn’t just about what you wear.
It’s about how it makes you feel.
And that? That’s always worth getting exactly right.

Step into Kelly’s universe and you’ll find stars caught in wire, nebulas bottled into pendants, and constellations woven through colour and crystal.

As the maker behind TS Jewellery & Accessories, Kelly crafts celestial pieces that bring a little cosmic magic into the everyday—jewellery that feels like a private galaxy, a whisper of wonder you get to carry with you.

Her inspiration?
The breathtaking beauty of deep space—
from dreamy swirls of nebula colour to the shimmer of stars across a velvet night sky.

What began as a personal creative outlet soon evolved into a small business built on storytelling, individuality, and starlight. Each piece is designed to capture a moment of awe, to remind you that even in the everyday, the cosmos is always close.

When she’s not designing jewellery that looks like it fell through a rift in the astral plane, Kelly’s often immersed in Dungeons & Dragons adventures, wrangling creative projects, or cosying up with her family under metaphorical blankets of starlight.

✹ Cosmic, crafty, and entirely her own — Kelly’s work brings the universe a little closer to home.

Some crafts are picked up.
Others are found—or maybe they find us.

For Ro—Rosemary, the maker behind Blackberry Wedding Designs—it began over 35 years ago, the moment she picked up a pyrography tool and fell in love with the art of drawing with fire.

What started as trial and error soon turned into a lifelong craft.
She invested in tools that let her control the burn—more precision, more detail, more beauty—and began working with woods like sycamore, beech, hornbeam, lime, and cherry.

At shows, her decorated horseshoes became instant favourites.
What began as a staple of her stall evolved with each conversation—white ribbons gave way to ivory and cream, then to new colours and custom designs.

From there, her range grew:
hearts, rolling pins, wooden spoons, bridal keepsakes of every kind.

But it didn’t stop at weddings.
Requests came in for anniversary pieces, then birth plaques, as her creations followed her customers through their most meaningful life moments.

Each new item in her collection was inspired by real people with real stories—
and Ro, ever the listener, turned each request into something lasting.

Now, her work carries the warmth of memory,
the grace of tradition,
and the kind of heart that only comes from doing something you truly love for decades.

We’re proud to welcome her to the Fireside Nook—
because her keepsakes don’t just hold memories.
They become part of them.

“Wool, weather, and wisdom—handcrafted heirlooms from Scotland’s soft hills to your hands.”

In the hills of southern Scotland, surrounded by sheep farms and wild-coloured heathers, Simone learned the traditional skills passed down through generations: spinning, weaving, knitting, sewing, embroidery.

Craft wasn’t a trend.
It was life.
It was expected.
It was how you made something warm from what the land gave you.

Years later, during a time of economic hardship, Simone took that inherited skill and turned it into something new—Roses Workshop.

What started with a few knitted hats for friends grew into a full range of handmade fashion, homeware, and gift items, each one crafted with care, intention, and the same quiet strength as those early lessons in wool and weather.

Her work often features British wool, including the world-renowned hand-woven Harris Tweed, which she shapes into items as practical as they are beautiful. She also transforms raw fleece into felt, adding another layer to her material mastery.

Simone doesn’t just sell online—
she shows up.
At fairs, festivals, and exhibitions across the UK, sharing space with fellow artisans and keeping traditional skills alive in modern hands.

At Roses Workshop, nothing is mass-produced.
Everything is made personally.
Deliberately.
By someone who knows the value of what she makes.

And here in the Fireside Nook, she brings the wool-warmth of a life lived in rhythm with the land,
stitched with skill, and rooted in real.

In a bright corner of Derbyshire’s High Peak,
surrounded by hills, family, and a very opinionated spaniel named Sasha,
Linda Sheldon creates work that glows with stillness, colour, and heart.

She’s a full-time stained glass artist,
but she didn’t set out to be.

It started with a workshop—
a quiet act of learning, just to make a gift for Mother’s Day.
But from that first piece, something shifted.

Glass became more than a craft.
It became a way to discover her creative self—
to bring joy to others,
and to anchor herself through life’s storms.

Each piece Linda makes passes through many stages:
cutting, shaping, leading, soldering, polishing.
It’s a process that demands focus, patience, and presence—
and in return, it offers something luminous.

Her work draws inspiration from the landscape outside her window—
the soft curve of hills, the changing Derbyshire skies—
but also from the people she creates for.

Whether it’s a gift, a keepsake, or a commission with meaning,
Linda’s glasswork holds more than light.
It holds a moment.
A feeling.
A piece of peace.

And now, she’s brought that same clarity and colour to the Fireside Nook—
where every shard, every shimmer,
reminds us that beauty isn’t always loud.

Sometimes it’s quiet.
And glowing.
And strong enough to survive any storm.

Based in Bristol (hence the name!), Sharon’s a proud, unapologetic eclectic—
a multi-skilled maker who’s turned her home into a one-woman craft studio full of stitching, doodling, colour, and joy.

Life hasn’t always made things easy.
Living with multiple chronic health conditions, Sharon spends a lot of time at home—
but instead of letting that hold her back,
she picked up her tools and started making her own kind of magic.

What started as a way to stay busy and sane has grown into something vibrant and full of heart.

At Gert Lush Designs, you’ll find:
đŸ§” Eco-friendly drawstring bags (perfect as reusable gift wrap or everyday storage)

She also welcomes commissions, especially if you’ve got your eye on a custom bag size or want to match a favourite fabric.

because creativity isn’t just a hobby for her.
It’s how she stays upright in the storm.

Here in the Nook, she’s brought it all—

And probably with a new bag.

At Sweet Aromas, Jim has been blending fragrance with craftsmanship since 2012—hand-pouring luxury wax melts and candles from his base in picturesque County Durham, UK.

But don’t let the serene setting fool you.
These aren’t your average wax melts.

Every batch is made by hand—small, deliberate, and customisable, whether you’re after a specific scent, colour, or aesthetic vibe. This is scent alchemy, delivered with precision.

Jim’s work doesn’t just smell divine—it’s rooted in safety, sustainability, and solid science.
He uses only the finest eco-friendly soy wax and premium oils,

and packages them in fully recyclable containers—
with an eye on future plastic-free options, because the planet matters too.

That’s what sets Sweet Aromas apart.
It’s not just about filling your home with gorgeous fragrance—
it’s about doing it right.

Sweet, sustainable, and absolutely irresistible.

In the wild hills of Shropshire,
where the mists settle just right and strange rustlings whisper through the hedgerows,
you might be lucky enough to spot one of Ceri’s dragons.

But only if you know where to look.

Through her work with the Shropshire Dragons Observation & Protection Group,
Ceri has become something of a mythkeeper—
creating one-of-a-kind, needlefelted dragon sculptures that are as whimsical as they are rare.

Each piece is made entirely by hand,
with an eye for detail, expression, and the kind of quiet enchantment
that feels like it belongs in folklore.

Living with chronic migraine and other health conditions,
Ceri creates at her own pace—
with tenderness, precision, and an unspoken understanding that magic doesn’t always rush.

Her dragons aren’t mass-produced.
They aren’t replicated.
They’re wild, shy, collectable art-creatures, each carrying their own spark of story,
designed to live in the corners of your home
the same way real dragons live in the corners of old maps—
half-seen, never forgotten.

Here in the Fireside Nook,
she’s brought a few of these mythic beasts into the circle.

Tread gently.
They’re watching you.
And so is she. 😏

Tucked away in Ballater, Royal Deeside,
you’ll find Moira—master wrangler of the Tweedie Beasties,
a delightfully ungovernable collection of handmade creatures
that bring joy, personality, and a good dose of mischief to every home they enter.

Each Beastie is lovingly crafted by hand using vibrant, traditional tweeds,
and no two are quite the same—
because they’re not meant to be.

Some are wide-eyed and bashful.
Some look like they’ve just heard a very suspicious rumour.
Some appear to be plotting something involving jam and buttons.
But all of them carry Moira’s unique blend of humour, charm, and Scottish soul.

This isn’t just soft toy crafting.
This is character design with heritage.
Beasties for gifting, treasuring, or just giving a quiet seat near the fire
where they can judge your life choices with button-eyed affection.

Moira also offers gift delivery options,
complete with cards and careful packaging—
because every Beastie deserves to travel in style.

Here in the Fireside Nook, the Tweedie clan have claimed a corner,
set up a tiny flag, and are now insisting they be referred to as dignitaries.

And honestly?
We don’t have the heart to disagree.

Kath’s creative journey started young.
Very young.

At five years old, she watched her Aunty Dorothy making soft toys
and refused to accept “you’re too young” as an answer.
A trip to a nearby craft shop later, and her very first felt elephant was born—
small, stitched, and carrying the spark of something bigger.

That spark never left.

Life took Kath through many chapters—
teacher training, admin roles in the Fire Brigade and Police,
before the offer of early retirement finally gave her space
to return to the thing she’d always loved: making.

Crafts weren’t a passing interest for her.
They were a lifelong thread.
Cross stitch, knitting, lacemaking, dressmaking—Kath tried it all.
But it was when she moved near Malton that she discovered her true passion:
patchwork and quilting.

In 2006, she launched Katy’s Kwilts,
initially offering longarm quilting services for fellow patchworkers.
It wasn’t long before classes followed—
and then, at her students’ request, she opened a fabric shop
to make sourcing materials easier.

But Kath doesn’t just teach.
She coaches.
She inspires.
She believes every class is a shared journey—
a collaboration between people who just want to make something beautiful together.

And now?
She’s returned to where it all began:
soft toys.

Thanks to a collaboration with Christie Bears,
Kath now offers bear-making patterns, supplies, and classes—
from fur and joints to paw fabric and accessories.

It’s not just a product line.
It’s a full-circle moment—
a felt elephant, grown up, surrounded by a lifetime of experience,
still offering joy to others.

Here in the Fireside Nook, Kath brings more than craft.
She brings legacy.
And we’re honoured to have her here—
still crafting.
Still teaching.
Still loving every stitch.

🔚 The Fire Still Glows

As the snow drifts past the market gates and the scent of mulled something trails through the stalls, we welcome you into this quieter space—where stories are shared as much as wares, and every crafter has a chair pulled up close to the fire.

This year’s Mythic Midwinter Market is intentionally small—
a cosy circle of Guild makers, each bringing not just products, but presence.
You’ve just met a few of them here in the Nook—
a gathering of voices, stitched together like a winter patchwork:
rich in warmth, steeped in story.

These aren’t just stallholders.
They’re storytellers. Survivors. Creators.
Some have been crafting for decades.
Some make with one hand while holding life steady with the other.
Every one of them has poured a little bit of themselves into what they bring to the fire.

This Nook isn’t for crowds.
It’s for connection.
A space to slow down.
To listen.
To remember that behind every item in this Market
is someone real—making beauty, and meaning, and magic.

Thank you for stepping inside.
Stay as long as you like.
The fire’s still going,
and there’s always room for one more chair.
