This summer marks a full year since Roberts Homewares opened its doors — and in that time, it’s become more than just a shop. It’s a creative collective, a home for handmade, and a space built with love, vision, and a whole lot of hard work.
Owner Carol first opened the shop in Essex with a simple but powerful goal: to create a space where customers could discover something special — and where local makers could find a place to shine. Now, one year in, her shop is filled with colour, character, and the work of over a dozen small businesses, many of whom have been with her since the very beginning.
Carol would like to thank all of her customers — both regulars and first-time visitors — for supporting Roberts Homewares over the past year. Every visit, every kind word, and every purchase has helped keep the shelves full and the sparkle going.
She also sends heartfelt thanks to the talented small business owners who’ve joined her on this journey. Whether they work in resin, felt, vintage, crystals, or something else entirely, each one has brought their own creativity and magic to the shop.
And finally — a special thank you to Dave, Carol’s partner, who has been there from day one. From fitting out the shop to doing the heavy lifting, helping behind the counter on his days off, and being the quiet force behind the scenes — Roberts Homewares wouldn’t be the same without him.
